Goti Terrecotte can boast over fifty years of experience born from the owner Giancarlo's strong passions. Mr. Giancarlo began his journey as a ceramic decorator apprentice, later, after marrying Mrs. Fiorella Goti, he opened a small artisan workshop in Sesto Fiorentino. The expansion occurred within a few years, and in 1973, he managed to progress and establish his company in Calenzano, a few kilometers from Florence, Tuscany. The knowledge accumulated over the years by Giancarlo in experimenting with materials and production techniques includes:

- Artistic casting of ceramic art, which replaces traditional molding processes
- Use of clay from the Impruneta quarries for the production of frost-resistant clay pots made from a unique family recipe, mixed and kneaded with water to create professional or outdoor food ovens with high-certified resistance and quality of fireproof terracotta, cooked at 1040 °C.

The well-equipped laboratory allows for the handcrafted and personalized creation of jars, tiles, statues, planters, vases, sinks, chimneys, bricks on order, bas-reliefs, and various decorative items. The production department dedicated to wood-fired ovens has enabled Goti Terrecotte to be recognized internationally as a benchmark in the market for fireproof terracotta wood-fired ovens for professional, domestic, and garden use. The product range, from classic to modern furniture, includes over 1000 items in the catalog. Additionally, the brand is prepared to produce items based on drawings or orders. Giancarlo, owner of Goti Terrecotte d'Autore, says 90% of the production goes to the “garden of clients”.

Artifacts are left to cook for 5 days in a dedicated oven at 1040 °C. Only careful drying before firing prevents cracking during firing and ensures high mechanical resistance. High quality is guaranteed, certified, and tested in a refractory mass laboratory. Raw materials used for processing come directly from the Impruneta quarries. The clay present in Impruneta gives the finished product a unique color and extraordinary frost resistance.

For this reason, Goti Terrecotte seeks and acquires prestigious Impruneta clay: an unparalleled raw material with admirable properties, primarily “frost resistance,” meaning it does not absorb water, thus withstands even the lowest temperatures and lasts almost forever. Of course, the production process is also refined and more complex, with longer times: Impruneta clay is processed through molding, has very slow drying times, and is fired at extremely high temperatures.
