Description

Wonderful products by Ceramiche ML are handcrafted and decorated with respect for tradition and work principles, which are primarily artisanal. Plaster molds filled with liquid clay, manual assembly, hand-painting: these are the production processes and know-how passed down through generations, dating back centuries. This is what creates a true multi-generational manufactory, producing more than just luxury items. Because these are functional art pieces made of ceramics. Dedicated to all connoisseurs and lovers of stylish interior accessories.

Brand Concept of Ceramiche ML

Vehicles inspired by the Baroque era, ancient Greek temples, soup bowls, tables, panels, Art Deco-style figures, and Roman chariots: all these objects are part of the extensive Ceramiche ML collection, which is a fundamental distinguishing feature. It results from continuous investments in their artisanal and cultural heritage. These were created over fifty years ago by model makers who are no longer with us: the goal is to preserve items of priceless historical and artistic value. Because this heritage is a testament to traditional craftsmanship! Exclusive ceramics have always been highly popular among the most discerning consumers worldwide.

History of the Brand

Both founders, Luciano and Marilena Tellatin, started their careers in the pottery industry at just sixteen years old and decided to establish their own company after years working as employees in two different antique factories. In their garage, then in a shed, in 1982, the founders created a story that continues to this day. Deep passion and dedication are the elements through which the founders steer the brand, supported by young entrepreneurship — their son Alberto. He joined the company in 2000 after earning a teaching degree from the Art Institute of Nove: representing the future of a brand that still has much to offer clients and partners.

Over 30 years of experience, elegant collections, harmonious forms, respect for craftsmanship — which is primarily artisanal and traditional work — and ultimately, endless investment in the artisanal heritage of antique Nove forms: these are the qualities that make Ceramiche ML unique, dynamic, respectful of ancient pottery traditions, yet enthusiastically looking to the future.

The place where everything happens is located in the province of Vicenza. This location has been recognized as one of the best examples of Italian ceramic tradition since the 16th century: a land enriched with artisanal knowledge, artists, sculptors, and ancient factories known worldwide. The Nove and Bassano regions are full of old companies whose work contributed to building the reputation of the ceramics district, decorating furniture for homes around the world.

The history of this place tells of a long-standing tradition rooted in the 17th century, and its fortune is due to several factors: the presence of underground plastic clay, "lottame" (limestone rich in mineral silica), kaolin, and the use of the Brenta River for transporting finished products and wood for kilns, as well as powering water mills used for mixing clay and grinding stones at the riverbed.

An additional factor fostering the rise of a prestigious ceramic tradition in this region was the Venetian Senate decree. In fact, in the 17th century, the growing and increasingly widespread demand for fine ceramics in China prompted Dutch ceramists to imitate these works, flooding the Venice market with their products. Consequently, in 1728, the Venetian Senate decided to boost domestic production through tax incentives for those producing porcelain and improving majolica production, thus fostering the birth of the ceramic district in Nove.

The production area of the district still focuses on the municipalities of Nove and Bassano, surrounded by a dense network of companies that have contributed to the region's worldwide reputation for excellence and uniqueness, unmatched in other parts of Italy.
