The Hermle family business has its roots in Gosheim in the Swabian Jura. The headquarters is located in nearby Reichenbach. This region was once a center of German clockmaking industry and is still known for its spirit of invention and hard work.

Additionally, Hermle has been specializing in the production of high-quality turning parts for over 50 years – this is a key advantage, as almost all individual components of clock mechanisms are produced in the company's own turning shop. The base features a finely polished lacquered surface and inlaid, polished metal veins. The dial is made of solid brass, with a polished, lacquered numeric ring featuring modern Arabic numerals.
