Born in Kent, Annie Soudain spent her early childhood years in Truro, Cornwall, where her interest in plants and nature began. Now residing by the sea in Sussex, much of her work continues to be inspired by the beautiful landscapes that surround her. This colorful linocut was created using the reduction method, which involves gradually cutting, inking, and printing from the same block. The picturesque scene was taken from a view over a field overlooking Rye Bay in Hastings Country Park.
