History

L’ORIGINALE SINCE 1970

Lanciotto Galeotti was born in 1945 and from a young age demonstrated great creativity and extraordinary manual skills. After completing his studies, he began working and established contacts with many Florentine artisans who provided him with his first professional experiences. It was in these shops that his creativity was unleashed, and he focused on creating interior lighting fixtures, stylish home accessories, and jewelry.

His acquaintance with various Florentine sculptors led him to try his hand at sculpting with clay and plasticine, which over the years expanded to metals such as brass and bronze. This became a distinctive hallmark of his unique craftsmanship.
OVER 50 YEARS - TODAY’S L’ORIGINALE

The company initially focused solely on interior decoration, but over the years it has expanded and today, in addition to a wide selection of chandeliers, wall sconces, and table lamps, it can offer its customers a significant range of high-end decorations. Exclusive items include tableware, household articles, and bathroom accessories.

All items are entirely handcrafted at the Sesto Fiorentino workshop, just a stone’s throw from Florence, where alchemy combines high-quality materials with the skillful craftsmanship of experienced artisans. Hand-polished Tuscan crystals, turned Carrara marble, and Murano glass are combined with bronze and brass castings. The uniqueness of the company's products results from research, passion, and experience; their products perfectly blend prestige and elegance.
EXCLUSIVE PIECES

The main distinguishing feature of the company's products is the exclusive creations made by Lanciotto and his team of experienced artisans, including his son Andrea. These elements are the result of continuous research into shapes and details, and are entirely handcrafted using plasticine. After each detail is completed, they are cast in bronze using the ancient lost-wax casting technique. All items are fully and exclusively handmade in the Sesto Fiorentino workshop, where the entire process—from designing and creating the first prototype to actual production—is carried out.

After over 50 years of operation, L'Originale has developed the ability to meet the needs of an increasingly demanding clientele. Despite the extensive catalog (about 1000 products), the company will create custom pieces in any shape and size, ensuring they do not disappoint the trust of more and more sophisticated customers, while maintaining the quality standards throughout the entire production process.
