High-quality decorative elements coated with palladium give the Souverän 805 Black-Silver a distinctive, unique shine. The black parts are made from high-quality black precious resin. Palladium-plated rings on the filling mechanism and cap are fitted with the utmost precision, creating an almost seamless transition between materials before polishing the writing instrument to a high gloss. The series offers a fountain pen, a ballpoint pen, a rollerball pen, and an automatic pencil with a twist mechanism.
The origins of Pelikan date back to chemist Carl Hornemann, who on April 28, 1838, presented his clients with an offer for oil paints, watercolors, and the so-called Pelikan archive – the foundation of the company's production line, from which the well-known worldwide brand developed. The German manufacturer specializes in producing luxury writing instruments.
Decades of experience, specially trained staff, and the highest attention to detail at every stage of the manufacturing process ensure that each product is solidly made and unique. Depending on the model, the nibs are made from 14 or 18-karat gold. They are also sometimes rhodium-plated to achieve a silver shine. The decoration on the nib is typical for each model.
