The blade is made of carbon steel, then hand-engraved with a beautiful image of love using the aquafort technique!

All decorations are handcrafted by the producer of the exclusive knife – the Italian manufacturer Saladini!

Saladini is a centuries-old brand specializing in handcrafted accessories and kitchen knives with forged blades. Each product bears the engraved logo of the manufacturer, which is a mark of authenticity and quality.

Marking is applied during the craft process, when the blade is not yet hardened.

Saladini is very selective in choosing steel – mainly hardened stainless steel with high or 100% carbon content.

Saladini blades are produced using two processes: rolling and forging.

The rolled method is used for making knife blades, cigar cutters, and certain types of table knives. These blades are cut from steel sheets, with thickness depending on the intended use of the knife.

The most complex process involves forging with a hammer and anvil, used for kitchen, table, and collector’s knives. Hand-forging allows creating precise shapes of blades, handles, and bolsters, which are then assembled into the handle.

After tempering, both types of blades are hardened and annealed during heat treatment, which, depending on the steel composition, determines the proper hardness for an optimal cutting edge.

Saladini’s tradition dates back to the 15th century – when the first “Master Knifemakers” published its statutes. These included goals for protection and a plan for the production and trade of knives. Since then, generations of producers have followed in their ancestors’ footsteps, creating products driven by passion and tradition.
