Description

Part of the exciting and luxurious Flame Tree notebook series. Combining high-quality production with stunning artwork, the covers are printed on foil in five colours, embossed, and then foil-stamped. They are incredibly practical: a rear pocket for receipts and scraps, two bookmarks, and a sturdy magnetic side flap. Perfect for personal use and an eye-catching gift. This example features Alphonse Mucha: Study for Documents Decoratifs Plate 12.

Alphonse Mucha was a defining figure of the Art Nouveau era and is beloved for his charming, highly stylized illustrations. This charming study was created for his stylistic book Documents Décoratifs, published by Librerie Centrale des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1901. This portfolio of Mucha's works was published at the height of his popularity and influenced legions of artists and designers striving to emulate “Le Style Mucha”.

Unique titles and a wide range of authors are characteristic of Flame Tree Publishing.

“The aim… is to wipe the dust of everyday life from our souls” Pablo Picasso.

“Flame Tree Publishing has been wiping the dust of everyday life for over twenty years, creating illustrated books since 1992, art calendars since 1998, and illustrated e-books since 2009. Their extensive list includes powerful and eloquent artists such as Erté and Alphonse Mucha, complemented by extensive licensing in their award-winning calendar line, with Tate, V&A, RSC, RA, and many others.”

With a broad range of authors, editors, and writers—from Vladimir Ashkenazy, Steve Hackett, John Howe, Sir George Martin, Brian May, Paul du Noyer, Paco Peña, Stanley Sadie—the brand aims to create illustrated projects that are affordable, useful, and beautiful. In addition to printed titles, their exceptional selection of practical cookbooks, music books, pop culture, and lifestyle titles is increasingly available in digital formats. The producer believes that well-reviewed, thoughtfully curated content should be available in many formats to meet their readers’ needs.
