HELENA WOOD ART is one of the leading manufacturers and exporters of furniture and game boards with over 30 years of experience in handcrafted woodwork. In 1987, thanks to the dedicated efforts of Davut Kazar, a workshop was established to produce mosaic and mother-of-pearl inlay. Initially operating as a general partnership until 1998, it was then transformed into a family business. Today, Helena proudly produces a large collection of stylish products on a closed surface area of 14,000 m². The brand also accepts custom orders and creates special projects for individual clients. What is wooden mosaic and mother-of-pearl inlay?

The art of wooden mosaic involves combining different types of wood; walnut, beech, lemon, olive, rosewood, mahogany, and other species. The pieces are cut into linear segments, creating geometric heads for each piece. Artistically, the brand joins these segments to form a single, thick, beautiful head. Thick wood pieces are cut horizontally into round slices. These slices are inlaid into the product, giving it a unique appearance. Additionally, mother-of-pearl, silver, and brass thread inlays adorn these items. The mother-of-pearl is hand-cut and fitted piece by piece, then elegantly inlaid into the objects to showcase their shine and depth.
