It would arrive in Egypt from Arabia every 500 years, bringing in a vial of myrrh the remains of its predecessor, which it laid on the sun altar in Heliopolis. That is why the limited collection consists of 500 feathers in various colors. Existing descriptions add that the bird lived in a distant, beautiful land, where every morning it drank four times from the stream of life and waved its wings to greet Febus (the Sun).These extraordinary feathers remind us that human history is written in dreams.
