Description
Part of the exciting and luxurious Flame Tree notebook series. Combining high-quality production with stunning artwork, the covers are printed on foil in five colours, embossed, and then foil-pressed. They are incredibly practical: a rear pocket for receipts and scraps, two bookmarks, and a sturdy magnetic side flap. Perfect for personal use and an impressive gift. National Gallery: Wilton Diptych.
The “Wilton Diptych” was painted as a portable altar for the private devotion of King Richard II, who ruled England from 1377 to 1399. It is believed that the diptych was created within the last five years of Richard’s reign, although its artist remains unknown. It is called The Wilton Diptych because it comes from Wilton House in Wiltshire, the seat of the Earls of Pembroke.
