Description

Part of the exciting and luxurious Flame Tree notebook series. Combining high-quality production with stunning artwork, the covers are printed on foil in five colours, embossed, and then foil-embossed again. They are incredibly practical: a rear pocket for receipts and scraps, two bookmarks, and a sturdy magnetic side flap. Perfect for personal use and an eye-catching gift. This example features Gustave Courbet: The Calm Sea.

Gustave Courbet painted this view of the sea, receding during low tide, during his visit to Étretat near Normandy in France in the summer of 1869. Two small boats left on the shore add serenity to this scene, which is raw. Compared to many other seaside landscapes by Courbet, which depicted chaotic, crashing waves and dramatic skies.

The original titles and a very wide range of authors are part of the Flame Tree Publishing brand.
