Dolly Tree was an illustrator, actress, and costume designer who achieved great success in England, France, and the United States, especially in the 1920s and 1930s. Her portrait of the Argentine-born actress Teddie Gerard (1890–1942), who performed in theatres and revues across America and Europe, appeared in Tatler.
