Founded in 1690, the Odiot house gained fame during the reign of Louis XV.
The peak of this renowned factory occurred during the Napoleonic era, when Jean-Baptiste Claude, grandson of Jean Baptiste Gaspard, received numerous commissions from Napoleon himself and his family.
Among the orders were, for example, the scepter and the coronation sword!
At that time, Odiot was influenced by classical art, where the main products were gilded silverware.
CHARLES NICOLAS ODIOT inherited Odiot in 1825 and was a supplier of silver to His Majesty King Louis-Philippe and the royal family in Orléans.
He then received the largest order in Odiot's history for 3,000 pieces of solid gold cutlery for the aforementioned Pasha, Vice King of Egypt. Gustave later became a court-appointed supplier to His Imperial Majesty. He was the last family member to lead this renowned brand.
Today, Odiot continues its centuries-old tradition, producing beautiful decorative and functional objects made of silver and gilded silver.
