Founded in 1690, the house of Odiot gained fame during the reign of Louis XV.
The flourishing of this renowned manufactory occurred during the Napoleonic era, when Jean-Baptiste Claude, grandson of Jean Baptiste Gaspard, received numerous commissions from Napoleon himself and his family.
Among the orders were, for example, the coronation scepter and sword!
At that time, Odiot was influenced by classical art, with main products being gilded silverware.
CHARLES NICOLAS ODIOT inherited Odiot in 1825 and was a silver supplier to His Majesty King Louis-Philippe and the royal family in Orleans.
He received the largest order in the history of the Odiot House at that time — 3,000 pieces of solid gold cutlery for the aforementioned Pasha, Viceroy of Egypt. Gustave later became a court supplier by appointment to His Imperial Majesty. He was the last family member to lead this extraordinary brand.
Today, Odiot continues its historic traditions, producing beautiful decorative and functional objects made of silver and gilded silver.
