Description
The cap features an image of Virgil and Dante's friend before the entrance to the door, where there is an inscription in Italian: “Lasciate ogni speranza voi ch' entrate” (English): “Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.” This is the first famous line from the Divine Comedy, and on the edge of the cap, there is a final line, when they exit hell and return to earth (Italian): “E quindi uscimmo a riveder le stele” (English): “And then we emerged to see the stars again.” The body of the pen is characterized by a conical shape, featuring 9 circles of hell supporting Lucifer at the bottom, who also functions as a pen holder.
