This is a unique design born from the imagination of Giampaolo Barbini. He brought with him the heritage of one of the oldest Venetian families, associated with Murano glassmaking.
Products of this brand are unique thanks to the synergy of many equally important elements. These include the beauty of the finish, the use of innovative manufacturing techniques, tasteful and bold design, and strong interaction between top designers and glassmakers.
iMuranesi is now a popular international brand that combines modernity with the traditional values of Murano glass.
The Barbini family is one of the renowned medieval families. These glassmakers left their mark on the island of Murano as early as the second half of the 16th century.
In 1658, during the Venetian Republic, by order of the Consiglio dei Dieci council, the Barbini clan was recorded in the Golden Book of Murano Society’s Notables, known as the register of the most distinguished glassmakers in Venice.
Additionally, the family was granted a coat of arms – featuring two bearded wise men facing each other with a star above their heads on a blue background – which can still be seen today in the Glass Museum on the island of Murano.
