In autumn 1998, Christo and Jeanne-Claude transformed 162 trees around the Beyeler Foundation into a sculptural masterpiece by wrapping them with 55,000 square meters of polyester fabric. It was the artist's first long-term project in creating an ever-changing panorama of form, texture, and color. This limited edition art piece, along with a print and a sample of the project fabric, traces the project's history from start to finish.

Founded by Benedikt Taschen in 1980 as a small comic book store in Cologne, today it sells its books worldwide. In addition to an international distribution network, the private publisher operates an e-commerce website and 14 branded stores around the world, from Beverly Hills, New York, and Miami to London, Brussels, Paris, and Milan. While rotating exhibitions are organized at the TAUCHEN Gallery in Los Angeles, coordinated with the publishing program. The company is headquartered in Cologne and Los Angeles, with regional offices in Berlin, Hong Kong, London, Madrid, Milan, New York, and Paris.
TAUCHEN is jointly managed by Benedikt Taschen and his eldest daughter, Marlene Taschen.
