Founded by Benedikt Taschen in 1980 as a small comic book store in Cologne, it now sells its books worldwide. While in the TASCHEN Gallery in Los Angeles, rotating exhibitions are organized in coordination with the publishing program. TASCHEN is jointly managed by Benedikt Taschen and his eldest daughter Marlene Taschen. The publishing house employs a team of over two hundred people and a network of independent collaborators working in editorial, finance and administration, PR, production, retail, sales, and marketing worldwide.
