Manufattura Visconti is an Italian company producing luxury goods, founded in 1988 in Florence by Dante Del Vecchio and Luigi Poli, who were collectors of fountain pens. While collecting luxury fountain pens, they aspired to become their manufacturers themselves.
In the 1990s, the Visconti brand developed a high-vacuum filling system (1993), a travel inkpot (1997), and a dual-cartridge filling system (1998), which consisted of a dual-cartridge refill system to prevent leaks.
By 2012, Visconti had exported its prestigious products to over 50 countries worldwide, selling 50,000 pens annually.
The company is known for using cellulose acetate to produce its accessories, adding details made of titanium, gold, diamond, ebonite, and acrylic fiber. Handcrafted Visconti fountain pens have been appreciated for their quality and exquisite craftsmanship. The product line has evolved over time, with several collections released since its inception.
