Celluloid is a material that requires a lengthy maturation process, and is then subjected to numerous treatments that give it an exclusive character. All these processes make celluloid very delicate and pleasant to the touch, as well as giving it a durable, slightly shimmering color. The mysterious name hides one word in two languages. It is a combination of the English version of the word “my” – MY and the Italian equivalent – MIA. MY+MIA =MIYA - This is a new collection by Montegrappa. The collection name suggests that its owner possesses a “own,” very “personal” writing jewel. MIYA was created in three celluloid colors: red, yellow, and turquoise.
We would like to introduce to you the pencil — an innovative slightly convex shape at the point where the cap meets the barrel. The barrel and cap are made of celluloid, while the details are crafted from sterling silver. The cap is decorated with a characteristic Greek pattern, typical for Montegrappa, representing perfect symmetry. The clip features a distinctive Montegrappa ball, which perfectly complements the shape of the collection. It has an 18-karat gold nib, a new ebonite feed, and a double filling system: converter or ink cartridges.
