"Blackness" is a series of black and white paintings on old music notes and pages from old books.

This series connects the things I love most: music and books, old, dark, gritty things with soul and history behind them, and the color black, which I believe is the most powerful color.

The philosophy of this collection is to give a second life to these old music notes and pages from old books. I don’t want them to stay forgotten. Because nothing should stay forgotten.

While working on this series, I tried to imagine the people who touched these pages, who played the music, who loved, who smiled, who cried, who lived!

I tried to imagine who they were, what they did in life, or if they were happy.

The black, white, or grey marks are like pieces of my soul that will stay forever with their stories.

Honestly, this series is closer to my heart than the others because when I see these paintings, I feel a whole range of different emotions and feelings.

It’s quite difficult to find and purchase these old music notes, so it’s a challenge, but thanks to this, the paintings become more precious and unique.
