"Blackness" is a series of black and white paintings on old music notes and pages from old books.

This series connects the things I like the most: music and books, old, dark, dirty things with soul and history behind them, and the color black, which in my opinion is the most powerful color.

The philosophy of this collection is to give a second life to these old music notes and pages from old books. I don’t want them to stay forgotten. Because nothing should stay forgotten.

During the work on this series, I tried to imagine the people who touched these pages, who played the music, who loved, who smiled, who cried, who lived!

I was trying to imagine who they were, what they did in life, or if they were happy.

The black, white, or grey marks are like pieces of my soul that will stay forever with their story.

Honestly, this series is closer to my heart than the others because when I see these paintings, I feel a whole bunch of different emotions and feelings.

Finding and purchasing these old music notes is quite difficult, so it’s a challenge, but thanks to this, the paintings become more precious and unique.
