Visconti is an Italian luxury goods company founded in 1988 in Florence by Dante Del Vecchio and Luigi Poli, who were passionate about fountain pen collecting. While collecting luxury fountain pens, they aspired to become their manufacturers themselves.
In the 1990s, Visconti developed a high-vacuum filling system (1993), a travel inkwell (1997), and a dual-cartridge filling system (1998), which consisted of a dual-cartridge refill system to prevent leaks.
By 2012, Visconti had exported its prestigious products to over 50 countries worldwide, selling 50,000 pens annually.
