The Sophie desk set consists of five elements: a tray, a pen holder, a miscellaneous item holder, a visitor's book stand, and a single flower vase.

Each piece is unique and handcrafted entirely from glazed terracotta with a mono and two-tone matte finish. Small differences in shape, color, and size should be regarded as a value and a guarantee of craftsmanship.

Prof Office was founded in 1995 from experience in the furniture industry, a family-run industrial environment that produces prestigious office furniture systems, deeply rooted in the northeastern Italian furniture district. Over these twenty years, the company's economic development and growth path have allowed it to look at the international market, contributing to the spread of Italian design and high quality worldwide. By consulting with architects and designers, Prof has strengthened its identity and expanded its product range.
Starting with designer execution collections, it then developed operational systems, reception solutions, and conference rooms, up to partition walls. Today, this enables offering complete and customized furnishing solutions for every workplace.

HEADQUARTERS

The headquarters of Prof, along with the plant and offices, is located in Falzè di Piave, in the Treviso province, 70 kilometers north of Venice, in one of Europe's most important furniture industrial districts. It covers a total area of approximately 8,700 sqm, of which 3,600 sqm are covered. The furniture manufacturing plant is equipped for work in the wood department, assembly, packaging, warehousing, and shipping of finished products. The main headquarters houses executive, commercial, technical, and administrative offices, conference rooms for client meetings, and a showroom of over 400 sqm that displays all collections of prestigious office furniture. In 2017, an expansion of over 1,800 sqm was completed, with 640 sqm dedicated to production, 330 to new offices, and 830 to a new showroom.

PRODUCTION

The brand manufactures exclusively at the Falzè di Piave facility in Treviso province and always bases its identity on maximum respect for people, the land, and materials. Strong local roots and innate "know-how," which has evolved also thanks to new technologies, have allowed Prof to confirm and solidify its success by continuing to combine tradition and innovation, adapting to new socio-economic changes. Prof's manufacturing organization is focused on "just in time," which combines reliability, inventory reduction, and increased quality and customer service. The entire Prof network operates mainly within Italy, in the regional production hub where most raw material and semi-finished supplier companies are located. All products are entirely designed and made in Italy to ensure a standard of consistent excellence.

DESIGN

At Prof, every element of furnishing stems from the ability to understand the changing dynamics of workplaces. Research has always been a strategic element of the company's development policy, expressed through an internal Design Department working closely with external designers and continuously updated with technological and legislative developments. Prof models are entirely designed and manufactured in Italy, fully compliant with European safety and hygiene standards. For this reason, Prof collections stand out for their high design, ergonomics, and functionality.

DESIGN CONSULTING
Prof offers comprehensive design and consulting services, including analysis of client requirements, layout studies with targeted and personalized furnishing proposals, technical drawings, and rendering.

CUSTOMIZATION

The professor can propose and carry out personalized services on standard production models: from manufacturing oversized components, through sourcing new materials and finishes, to creating samples and prototypes. Thanks to their versatile production capabilities, the Professor has developed specialized knowledge in non-standard consumable materials, handling projects ranging from small and medium to highly personalized creations.

AFTER-SALES SERVICE

Thanks to the UNI EN ISO 9001: 2008 certification system for managing non-conforming products and claims, the Professor maintains constant control over issues encountered during assembly and use. The company provides technical assistance and after-sales services, including full information, modifications, and repairs.

BESPOKE PRODUCTS

The broad production flexibility of Prof allows, in addition to series production, the realization of custom-designed projects tailored to specific client needs. The Design Department can support clients or designers in developing and producing unique products, both functional and aesthetic, with fully customized finishes.
Careful advice at every stage: a targeted design, with meticulous material selection and attention to detail, culminating in the construction step-by-step, up to the final installation.
Production is fully adapted to individual needs.

ENVIRONMENT

In response to increasing international market competition by improving customer satisfaction and loyalty, and streamlining internal production processes, the Professor obtained ISO 9001: 2008 certification in 2012. Adopting a quality management system is a strategic decision for Prof, enabling more concrete business goals. In a world constantly seeking quality and increasingly sensitive to ecological issues, Prof focuses on maximum experience in designing and manufacturing office furniture with respect for the environment. Starting from carefully selected raw materials, through the entire processing and packaging process, to disposal, everything aims to protect health and save energy.

As a result, Prof uses certified E1 panels compliant with European regulations on formaldehyde emissions for both raw materials and laminates.
Each panel is then marked by the Eco Panel Consortium, ensuring that semi-finished products are produced through the reuse of wood in the manufacturing process, which does not involve tree felling.

Obtaining the ISO 14001: 2004 certification in 2012 confirms Prof’s concrete commitment to establishing its own environmental management system, regulating the impact of production activities on the environment and striving for continuous improvement. In 2015, during the same period as the company's twenty-year anniversary, Prof introduced a new green logo to confirm and identify its commitment to sustainable environmental development as an integral part of its operations and growth process. In 2017, the company reaffirmed its "eco-friendly" strategy, emphasizing its values of "sustainability" and "responsibility," and switched to a new energy provider (Dolomiti Energia) that sources 100% from renewable sources.

ECO PACKAGING

Prof continues its commitment to a production system capable of minimizing environmental impact. In 2016, Prof invested in a modern packaging machinery park using biodegradable cardboard, enabling tailored packaging training. Optimizing packaging for specific products significantly reduces packaging costs, storage, and waste for disposal. To improve waste management, several separate collection points for post-production waste were established within the company. All waste is stored in special containers and subsequently recycled.

CERTIFICATIONS

Demonstrating a commitment to quality, Prof obtained the UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015 certification and adheres to international standards in design, development, production, and customer service.
