Description

Wonderful products by Ceramiche ML are handcrafted and decorated with respect for tradition and work principles, which are primarily artisanal. Plaster molds filled with liquid clay, manual assembly, hand-painting: these are the production processes and know-how passed down through generations, dating back centuries. This is what creates a true multi-generational manufactory, producing more than just prestigious items. Because these are works of functional art, made of ceramics. Dedicated to all connoisseurs and lovers of stylish interior accessories.

Ceramiche ML Brand Concept

Vehicles inspired by the Baroque era, rich ancient Greek temples, soup bowls, tables, panels, Art Deco-style figures, and Roman chariots: all these objects are part of the extensive Ceramiche ML collection, which is a fundamental hallmark. This results from ongoing investments in their artisanal and cultural heritage. They were created over fifty years ago by model makers who are no longer with us: the goal is to preserve items of priceless historical and artistic value. Because this heritage is a testament to traditional craftsmanship! Exclusive ceramics have always been highly popular among the most discerning consumers worldwide.

Company History

Both founders, Luciano and Marilena Tellatin, started their careers in the pottery industry at just sixteen years old and decided to establish their own company after years working as employees in two different antique factories. In their garage, then in a shed, in 1982, the founders created a story that continues to this day. Deep passion and dedication are the elements through which the founders steer the brand, supported by young entrepreneurship—son Alberto. He joined the family business in 2000 after earning a teaching degree from the Art Institute of Nove: representing the future of a brand that still has much to offer clients and partners.

With over 30 years of experience, a luxury collection, harmonious forms, respect for craftsmanship—primarily artisanal and traditional work—and an ongoing investment in the heritage of antique Nove forms, these are the qualities that make Ceramiche ML exceptionally unique, dynamic, and respectful of ancient pottery traditions, yet enthusiastically looking toward the future.

The place where everything happens is located in the province of Vicenza. This area has been recognized as one of the best examples of Italian ceramic tradition since the 16th century: a land enriched with artisanal knowledge, artists, sculptors, and ancient factories known worldwide. The Nove and Bassano regions are full of old manufactories whose work contributed to building the fame of the ceramic district, decorating homes’ furniture around the world.

This place’s history tells of a very long tradition rooted in the 17th century, thanks to factors such as underground clay deposits, “lottame” (a limestone rich in mineral silica), kaolin, and the availability of the Brenta River for transporting finished products, firewood for kilns, as well as powering water mills used for mixing clay and grinding river stones at the bottom of the river.

Another factor fostering the birth of an exclusive ceramic tradition in this region was the Venetian Senate decree. In fact, in the 17th century, the growing and increasingly widespread demand for fine ceramics in China prompted Dutch ceramists to imitate these works, flooding the Venice market with their products. As a result, in 1728, the Venetian Senate decided to increase domestic production through tax incentives for those producing porcelain and improving majolica manufacturing, thus fostering the development of the ceramic district in Nove.

The production area of the district still focuses on the municipalities of Nove and Bassano, surrounded by a dense network of companies that have contributed to the region’s worldwide reputation for excellence and uniqueness, unmatched elsewhere in Italy.
