Description

A disease ravages America, driving the infected to barbarism.

Petty criminal Ben Silensky is determined to free his girlfriend Carlita and son Kyle from the quarantined city they reside in. Once they escape, Nando is confident they will find a place in the open prison where his uncle works, which unbeknownst to him has become a survivalist colony called Funland, run by the enterprising convict Plana John.

Within Funland itself, guard Doyle Johnson is shocked when his ex-wife leaves their son Austin in his care. Fearing the vulnerable situation he's found himself in, he recruits Katherine Aaronovich, a former prison doctor, for help. But Aaronovich's traumatic past has left her with her own weaknesses, along with radical theories about the nature of the epidemic that will endanger all their lives.

As the last remnants of civilization crumble, Funland may prove to be the safest or most dangerous of places, depending on who comes out on top, and what cannot be united will inevitably be torn to shreds.
