Description
The disease is ravaging America, driving the infected to barbarism.
Small-time criminal Ben Silensky is determined to rescue his girlfriend Carlița and son Kyle from the city under quarantine where they live. When they escape, Nando is sure they will find refuge in the open prison where his uncle works, who unknowingly has become a colony of survivalists called Funland, managed by the resourceful convict Plan John.
Within Funland, guard Doyle Johnson is shocked when his ex-wife leaves their son Austin in his care. Fearing the helpless situation he finds himself in, he recruits Katherine Aaronovich, a former prison doctor, to help. But Aaronovich’s traumatic past has left her with her own weaknesses, along with radical theories about the nature of the epidemic that threaten to endanger their entire lives.
As the last traces of civilization crumble, Funland may turn out to be the safest or the most dangerous place of all, depending on who rises to the top, and what cannot be connected will inevitably be torn apart.
