Producing glass in Murano means continuing a thousand-year-old tradition, a history of knowledge, secrets, and skills that are a valuable legacy of the company's mission—an entrepreneurial reality born from the creative impulse of Guido, Diego, and Omar Ferro. The secrets and techniques of master glassmakers, combined with collaborations with the most renowned Italian and international interior decorators over the years, have led to the success of many of their collections.

Philosophy and the image of the manufactory

Today, Yalos Murano is a well-known brand in traditional glass production; a proposal for furniture, style, and design for contemporary living, offering us glass and its multifaceted appearances. Equipped with color and the most innovative lines, admiring the changing and fleeting light reflections of a unique and unrepeatable object, and the ability to connect one’s personality with the object are the most direct experiences of each of the proposed creations.

Nomads, yet attached to their roots, Ferro, after the terrible plague of 1630 that decimated the local population, including glassmakers, returned to Murano and soon became among the local notables as Deputies of the island, occupying this prestigious position 27 times during the 18th century.

Belonging to the local productive elite and vital family Ferro was the Gastaldi Major of the San Nicolò school, which gathers artisans and master glassmakers and manages the glassworks. Moreover, their coat of arms is engraved twice on the Osella, a coin minted by the Venetian mint specifically for the Murano community.

As if representing their dual nature, the Ferro family coat of arms consists of an anchor, symbolizing stability and connection to the territory, and an irreplaceable tool of the comet during voyages and adventures at sea. From Leonardo Ferro, a skilled master, comes the Ferro Florian line, a very important group of glassmakers from the late 19th century, prolific and numerous, still active today with glassworks bearing their name. Yalos Murano, following ongoing research and experiments that have historically distinguished it in artistic glass production, proposes a new challenge: Murano glass panels of various sizes, changing colors, numerous decorations, and unique, valuable combinations on the exterior.
