In complete opposition to such a state of affairs is the philosophy of Berti Knives, a manufacturer of exclusive knives for various uses. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, this small workshop seems to be entirely independent of the trends that have prevailed worldwide over the years. Its main guiding principle is a commitment to tradition, which is still cultivated by the fourth generation of experienced artisans.
The founders of the brand strongly reject the idea of mass production by random labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the offered products. For this reason, their company's philosophy places a special emphasis on the employed staff. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to innovations. They are very much desired, provided they introduce elements that do not conflict with the existing philosophy and can withstand years of quality testing.
Unlike others, the individual stages of knife creation are not handled by specialized sections of workers, but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, while handles are made from bison, buffalo, deer horns, as well as 'bosso' wood.
The owners encourage that their products, although intended for everyday use, be treated with proper respect, which guarantees their longevity. Each one is a small, unique artifact.
