Contrary to this trend, the philosophy of Berti Knives is based on producing exclusive knives for various purposes. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, this small manufactory appears to be entirely independent of the trends that have dominated the world over the years. Its core principle is a strong attachment to tradition, which is still cultivated by the fourth generation of experienced artisans.
The founders firmly reject the idea of mass production by random labor forces, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of their products. For this reason, their company's philosophy places a special emphasis on the employed personnel. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to innovations. They are very much welcomed, provided they do not conflict with the existing philosophy and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike others, the individual stages of knife creation are not handled by specialized sections of workers, but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, while handles are crafted from materials such as buffalo horn, bison horn, deer antler, and 'bosso' wood.
