Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop seems to remain completely detached from the trends that have emerged over the years worldwide. Its core value is fidelity to tradition, which has been cultivated by four generations of these Italian artisans.
The founders firmly reject the idea of mass production by random labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the offered products. For this reason, their company's philosophy places special emphasis on the employed staff. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to any innovations. They are highly desirable, provided they do not conflict with the existing philosophy and can withstand years of quality testing.
Unlike others, the manufacturing stages of the knife are not handled by specialized sections of workers, but are performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, and handles include materials such as buffalo horn, bison horn, deer antler, or 'bosso' wood.
The owners recommend that, although their knives are designed for everyday use, they should be treated with proper respect, which guarantees their durability for many years. Each one is a small, unique artifact.
