Abstraction 30 x 25 cm, mixed technique on canvas – Amelia Augustyn

Amelia Augustyn (born in 1989) is a graduate of the Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa (now the University of Humanities and Natural Sciences). In 2014, she received a diploma in Painting (with distinction) in the studio of Dr. habil. Włodzimierz Kulej, Prof. UJD, and Dariusz Słota (with an annex in drawing). "My Red" is a continuation of a series of small-format, abstract paintings. The psychological aspect of color influence is particularly important to the artist; in her latest series, she leans towards intense hues and strong contrasts. For this purpose, she often uses unconventional media – industrial-grade paints that have become an integral part of her work. "My Red," measuring 30 x 25 x 1.5 cm, was created using mixed media (acrylic, enamel) on cotton canvas. The piece was completed in 2019. It is signed in the lower right corner: A. Augustyn. When arranging the space, attention should be paid to factors such as room size (it should not be too large) and the character and color scheme of the decor (the artwork is best suited for a modern, minimalist interior).
