HELENA WOOD ART is one of the leading manufacturers and exporters of furniture and game boards with over 30 years of experience in wood craftsmanship. In 1987, thanks to the dedicated efforts of Davut Kazar, a workshop was established to produce mosaic and mother-of-pearl inlay. At that time, it operated as a general partnership until 1998, then transformed into a family business. Today, Helena proudly produces a large collection of exclusive products on a closed area of 14,000 m². The brand also takes custom orders and produces special projects for individual clients. What is wooden mosaic and mother-of-pearl inlay?

The art of wooden mosaic involves combining different types of wood; walnut, beech, lemon, olive, rosewood, mahogany, and other trees. The pieces are cut into linear segments, creating geometric heads for each piece. Artistically, the brand joins these pieces to form a single, thick, beautiful head. A thick piece of wood is cut horizontally into round slices. These slices are inlaid into the product, giving it a unique appearance. Additionally, inlay with mother-of-pearl, silver, and brass cords adorns these items. Mother-of-pearl is hand-cut and fitted piece by piece, then elegantly inlaid into the objects, allowing you to see and feel the shine and depth of the mother-of-pearl.
