Their leather is hand-selected, firm, and durable full-grain bovine leather, which is beautiful, long-lasting, and tanned using traditional and natural vegetable tanning processes. Full-grain leather is considered the strongest and most durable type of leather. It is designed to be resistant to moisture and to develop a more beautiful appearance over time. Jekyll & Hide adhere to principles and practices that respect animals and the environment, allowing for the production of luxurious leather collections. Therefore, no harmful chemicals are used in the tanning process.

RECYCLING MATERIALS

In line with their sustainability commitment, the brand has started replacing all its fabrics with 100% recycled materials, sourced from used plastic bottles. To date, they have recycled and removed over 95,000 plastic bottles from landfills and oceans.

PROJECT SPEKBOOM

The company partnered with a dynamic local nursery to help offset its carbon footprint by cultivating and maintaining Spekboom. This proud South African succulent is one of the most effective plants in the world for removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. For this project, Jekyll & Hide secured their own hectare of land and plan to grow around 6,000 plants in 2020.
