HELENA WOOD ART is one of the leading manufacturers and exporters of furniture and game boards with over 30 years of experience in wood handicrafts. In 1987, thanks to the dedicated efforts of Davut Kazar, a workshop was established to produce mosaic and mother-of-pearl inlay. The company initially operated as a general partnership until 1998, after which it transformed into a family business. Today, Helena proudly produces a large collection of exclusive products on a closed surface of 14,000 m². The brand also accepts custom orders and creates special projects for individual clients. Most products are exported to the Middle East, Europe, and America. Helena makes every effort to serve its customers as best as possible without compromising on quality.
What is wooden mosaic and mother-of-pearl inlay?
The art of wooden mosaic involves combining different types of wood; walnut, beech, lemon, olive, rosewood, mahogany, and other woods. The pieces are cut into linear segments, creating geometric heads for each piece. Artistically, the brand joins these segments to form a single, thick, beautiful piece. A thick piece of wood is cut horizontally into round slices. These slices are inlaid into the product, giving it a unique appearance. Additionally, inlay with mother-of-pearl, silver, and brass cords embellishes these items. The mother-of-pearl is hand-cut and fitted piece by piece, then elegantly inlaid into the objects, allowing you to see and feel the shine and depth of the mother-of-pearl. HELENA WOOD ART products stand out for their combination of natural walnut wood and traditional oriental decor. All these handcrafted items are designed to enhance and showcase Helena’s craftsmanship to the world.
