Their leather is hand-picked, firm, and durable full-grain cowhide, which is beautiful, long-lasting, and tanned using traditional and natural vegetable tanning processes. Full-grain leather is considered the strongest and most durable type of leather. It is designed to be resistant to moisture and to develop a more beautiful appearance over time. Therefore, no harmful chemicals are used in the tanning process.

Most of their products are stylish leather goods. This will not change, but today they pay more attention to doing it differently.

RECYCLING MATERIALS

In line with their sustainability commitment, the brand has started replacing all its fabrics with 100% recycled materials derived from used plastic bottles. To date, they have recycled and diverted over 95,000 plastic bottles from landfills and oceans.

SPEKBOOM PROJECT

The company partnered with a dynamic local nursery to help offset their carbon footprint through the cultivation and maintenance of Spekboom. This proud South African succulent is one of the most effective plants in the world for removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. For this project, Jekyll & Hide secured their own hectare of land and planned to grow around 6,000 plants in 2020.
