In complete opposition to this situation is the philosophy of Berti Knives, which produces exclusive knives for various purposes. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, this small manufactory seems entirely detached from the trends that have dominated the world over the years. Their core idea is a commitment to tradition, which is still cultivated by the fourth generation of these Italian artisans.
The founders of the brand strongly reject the idea of mass production by unskilled labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of the identity of their knives. Therefore, their company's philosophy places special emphasis on the employed personnel. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to innovations. They are very much welcomed, provided they introduce elements consistent with the existing philosophy and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike the competition, the various stages of knife manufacturing are not handled by specialized groups of artisans but are performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
