A unique chef's knife from the Gualtiero Marchesi collection by Berti Knives

This product was designed by the Berti Knives brand and Italian chef Gualtiero Marchesi.

The philosophy of Berti Knives, a manufacturer of exceptional knives for various purposes, differs from this approach. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop appears to be entirely independent of the trends that have prevailed worldwide over the years. Its core value is fidelity to tradition, which is still cultivated by the fourth generation of these Italian artisans.

The founders strongly oppose the idea of mass production by random labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the products offered. For this reason, their company's philosophy emphasizes the importance of the employed personnel. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to innovations. They are very welcome, provided they introduce elements consistent with the existing vision and can withstand long-term quality tests.

Unlike others, the various stages of knife production are not handled by specialized artisan sections but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, and handles include materials such as buffalo horn, bison horn, deer antler, and 'bosso' wood.

The brand owners encourage that, despite being designed for everyday use, their knives should be treated with proper respect, which guarantees their longevity. Each one is a small, unique artifact.
