The Sheaffer brand history dates back to 1907, when Walter A. Sheaffer invented a refillable fountain pen with a lever filler in Fort Madison, Iowa (USA). His innovative vision and pioneering approach led to inventions such as Skrip ink (1922), the Touchdown filling mechanism (1949), and an integrated nib (1959).
