Ernesto Fontana Between Two Processions, the third is dated 1893, an oil painting on canvas depicting three children joyfully playing, rolling among pink flowers, signed in the upper right corner by Milanese artist E. Fontana, Milan 1837 – Cureglia, Switzerland 1918, and again signed and dedicated to his friend Prof. Lorenzani on the lower left edge.

The work is in excellent condition, framed in a carved wooden gilded frame with trial gold. A brass plaque with the artist’s name and the title of the work is placed on the bottom edge of the frame. The canvas itself measures 30 x 24 cm and comes from a private collection in Milan. On the back of the frame, there is an inscription containing the title, artist, and dedication to a friend.

Lion paws, eagle heads—these are common motifs in Renaissance style. Currently, many global brands reproduce furniture inspired by Italian and French creators, reflecting admiration and respect for the history of the most beautiful Renaissance antiques.
