Description

Wonderful collections by Ceramiche ML are handcrafted and decorated with respect for tradition and working principles that are primarily artisanal. Plaster molds filled with liquid clay, manual assembly, hand-painting: these are the production processes and know-how passed down through generations, with roots reaching back to past centuries. This is what creates a true multi-generational manufactory, producing more than just luxurious items. Because these are functional art pieces made of ceramics. Dedicated to all connoisseurs and lovers of stylish interior accessories.

Company Concept of Ceramiche ML

Vehicles inspired by the Baroque era, rich ancient Greek temples, soup bowls, tables, panels, Art Deco-style figures, and Roman chariots: all these objects are part of the extensive Ceramiche ML model, which is a fundamental distinguishing feature. This results from continuous investments in their artisanal and cultural heritage. They were created over fifty years ago by model makers who are no longer with us: the goal is to preserve items of priceless historical and artistic value. Because this heritage is a testament to good old craftsmanship! Exclusive ceramics have always been highly popular among the most discerning consumers worldwide.

Company History

Both founders, Luciano and Marilena Tellatin, started their careers in pottery when they were just sixteen and decided to establish their own company after years working as employees in two different antique factories. In their garage, then in a shed, in 1982, they began a story that continues to this day. Deep passion and dedication are the elements through which the founders run the company, supported by young entrepreneurship—son Alberto. He joined the family business in 2000 after earning a teaching degree from the Art Institute of Nove: representing the future of a brand that still has much to offer clients and partners.

Over 30 years of experience, a luxury collection, harmonious forms, respect for craftsmanship—primarily artisanal and ancient work—and ultimately, endless investment in the artisanal heritage of antique Nove forms: these are the qualities that make Ceramiche ML unique, dynamic, respectful of ancient pottery traditions, yet enthusiastic about the future.

The town where everything takes place is located in the province of Vicenza. This place has been recognized as one of the best examples of Italian ceramic tradition since the sixteenth century: a land enriched with artisanal knowledge, artists, sculptors, and ancient factories known worldwide. The Nove and Bassano regions are full of old companies whose work has contributed to building the fame of the ceramic district, decorating furniture in homes around the world.

The history of this place tells of a very long tradition rooted in the 17th century, and its fortune is due to several factors: the presence of underground plastic clay, “lottame” (limestone rich in mineral silica), kaolin, and the possibility of using the Brenta River for transporting finished products and wood for kilns, as well as powering water mills used for mixing clay and grinding stones at the riverbed.

An additional factor fostering the creation of a prestigious ceramic tradition in this region was the Venetian Senate decree. In fact, in the 17th century, the growing and increasingly widespread demand for fine ceramics in China prompted Dutch ceramists to imitate these works, flooding the Venice market with their products. As a result, in 1728, the Venetian Senate decided to increase domestic production through tax reliefs for those who decided to produce porcelain and improved majolica production, thus managing the birth of the ceramic district in Nove.

The production area of the district continues to focus on the municipalities of Nove and Bassano, which are surrounded by a dense network of companies that have contributed to the region’s worldwide reputation for excellence and uniqueness—qualities not found in other parts of Italy.
