It's worth appreciating Italian craftsmanship – Saladini products are original and made from the highest quality materials.

The Saladini manufactory offers reliable accessories with forged blades. Each blade features an engraved manufacturer’s logo, which serves as a mark of authenticity and a guarantee of quality. 

The marking is done during the craft process, when the blade is not yet hardened.
Saladini is very selective in choosing steel – mainly using hardened stainless steel with high or 100% carbon content.

To create blades, Saladini uses two processes: rolling and forging.

The rolling method is used to produce knife blades, cigar cutter blades, and certain lines of table knives. These blades are cut from steel sheets, with thickness depending on the intended use of the knife.

The most complex process involves forging blades with a hammer and anvil, used for kitchen, table, and collector’s knives. Hand forging allows for creating the proper shapes of blades, handles, and bolsters, which are then assembled into the handle.

After tempering, both types of blades are hardened and annealed during heat treatment, which, depending on the steel composition, determines the correct hardness for an optimal cutting edge.

The Italian company respects its heritage but also looks to the future – this approach allows continuous development.

Saladini’s tradition dates back to the 15th century – when the first “Master Knifemakers” published its statutes. These included goals for protection and a plan for the production and trade of knives. Since then, generations of manufacturers have followed in the footsteps of their ancestors, creating products driven by the same passion and tradition.

Saladini honors its heritage while continuously improving its products – making them increasingly innovative.

This company has gained experience through centuries of tradition. It is located in the Italian town of Scarperia. The literal meaning of this name is “city of knives”. It is here that the talent related to knife craftsmanship has been dormant since ancient times. This craft was regarded as an ancient form of art.
