Saladini's manufactory offers reliable accessories with forged blades. Each blade features an engraved manufacturer’s logo, which serves as a mark of authenticity and quality guarantee.

The marking is performed during the craft process, when the blade is not yet hardened.

Saladini is very selective in choosing steel – mainly using hardened stainless steel with high or 100% carbon content.

To create blades, Saladini uses two processes: rolling and forging.

The rolling method is used to produce knife blades, cigar cutters, and certain lines of table knives. These blades are cut from steel sheets, whose thickness depends on the intended use of the knife.

The most complex process involves forging blades with a hammer and anvil, used for kitchen and table knives as well as collector’s items. Hand forging allows for creating the appropriate shapes of blades, bolsters, and pommels, which are then assembled into the handle.

After tempering, both types of blades are hardened and annealed during heat treatment, which, depending on the steel composition, determines the proper hardness for an optimal cutting edge.
