Description
The handle is made from acrylic glass, available in various colors. The blade is crafted from the highest quality stainless steel.
We live in times characterized by increased consumption. Therefore, the items we use daily hold no value for us beyond their utility. With each passing year, we often shed the sentimentality they once held, replacing them with newer models.
In complete opposition to this trend, the philosophy of Berti Knives is to produce exceptional knives for various uses. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop seems to remain completely detached from the trends that have dominated the world over the years. Its core principle is fidelity to tradition, which is now maintained by the fourth generation of these Italian artisans.
The founders of the brand strongly reject the idea of mass production by unskilled labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity in the knives produced. Therefore, their company's philosophy emphasizes the importance of skilled personnel. However, this does not mean that the Italian family is closed to innovation. Innovations are very welcome, provided they introduce elements consistent with the existing philosophy and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike competitors, the various stages of knife creation are not handled by specialized groups of artisans but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, and handles include materials such as buffalo horn, bison horn, deer antler, as well as 'bosso' wood.
The owners recommend that, despite being designed for everyday use, their knives should be treated with proper respect, which ensures their durability for many years. Each knife is, after all, a small, unique artifact.
