A prestigious desk set for the President - Prof

The Sophie desk set consists of five elements: a tray, a pen holder, a miscellaneous item holder, a visitor's book stand, and a single flower vase.

Each piece is unique and handcrafted entirely from glazed terracotta with a mono and two-tone matte finish. Small differences in shape, color, and size should be regarded as a value and guarantee of craftsmanship.

Prof Office was founded in 1995 based on experience in the furniture industry, a family-run industrial reality that produces prestigious office furniture systems, deeply rooted in the northeastern Italian furniture district. Over these twenty years, the company's economic growth and development path has allowed it to look at the international market, contributing to the dissemination of Italian design and high quality worldwide. By consulting architects and designers, Prof has strengthened its identity and expanded its product range.
Starting from designer execution collections, it then developed operational systems, reception solutions, and conference rooms, up to partition walls. Today, this enables offering complete and customized furnishing solutions for every workspace.

HEADQUARTERS

The headquarters of Prof, along with its plant and offices, is located in Falzè di Piave, in the Treviso province, 70 kilometers north of Venice, in one of Europe's most important furniture industrial districts. It covers a total area of approximately 8,700 sqm, of which 3,600 are covered. The facility, specialized in manufacturing office furniture, is equipped for woodwork, assembly, packaging, warehousing, and shipping of finished products. The main headquarters houses executive, commercial, technical, and administrative offices, conference rooms for client meetings, and a showroom of over 400 sqm displaying all collections of prestigious office furniture. In 2017, an expansion added over 1,800 sqm, of which 640 sqm are dedicated to production, 330 to new offices, and 830 to a new showroom.

PRODUCTION

The company manufactures exclusively at the Falzè di Piave plant in Treviso province and always bases its identity on maximum respect for people, the land, and materials. Strong local roots and innate "know-how," which has evolved also thanks to new technologies, have allowed Prof to confirm and solidify its success by continuing to blend tradition with innovation, adapting to new socio-economic changes. Prof's production organization is focused on "just in time," enabling reliability, inventory reduction, and increased quality and customer service. The entire Prof network operates mainly within Italy, in the local production district where most raw material and semi-finished supplier companies are located. All products are fully designed and made in Italy to ensure a standard of consistent excellence.

DESIGN

At Prof, every element of furniture results from an understanding of the changing dynamics of workplaces. Research has always been a strategic element of the company's development policy, expressed through an internal Design Department working closely with external designers and continuously updated with technological and legislative evolutions. Prof models are entirely designed and manufactured in Italy, fully compliant with European safety and hygiene standards. For this reason, Prof collections stand out for their high design, ergonomics, and functionality.

DESIGN CONSULTING
Prof provides comprehensive design and consulting services, including analysis of client requirements, layout studies with targeted and personalized furnishing proposals, along with technical drawings and rendering.

CUSTOMIZATION

The professor can propose and execute a personalized service on standard production models: from manufacturing oversized components, through sourcing new materials and finishes, to creating samples and prototypes. Thanks to his versatile production capabilities, over the years the Professor has developed specialized knowledge in non-standard consumable materials, from small and medium projects to excellent personalized creations.

POST-WARRANTY SERVICE

Thanks to the UNI EN ISO 9001: 2008 certification system for managing non-conforming products and claims, the Professor maintains constant control over issues encountered during assembly and use. The company provides technical and after-sales support services along with full information, modifications, and repairs.

BESPOKE PRODUCTS

The wide production flexibility of Prof allows, in addition to series production, the realization of custom-defined projects tailored to specific client needs. The Design Department is able to support clients or designers in developing and producing unique products, both functional and aesthetic solutions, with completely individual finishes.
Careful advice at every stage of implementation: a targeted design, with meticulous material selection and attention to detail, culminating in the construction, step by step, until the final installation.
The production is fully adapted to individual needs.

ENVIRONMENT

In response to increasing international market competition by improving customer satisfaction and loyalty, and streamlining internal production processes, the Professor obtained ISO 9001: 2008 certification in 2012. Adopting a quality management system is a strategic decision for Prof, enabling more concrete business goals. In a world constantly seeking quality and increasingly sensitive to ecological issues, Prof focuses on maximum experience in designing and manufacturing office furniture with respect for the environment. Starting from carefully selected raw materials, through the entire processing and packaging process, to disposal, everything aims to protect health and save energy.

As a result, Prof uses certified E1 panels in accordance with European regulations on formaldehyde emissions, both for raw materials and laminates.
Each panel is then marked by the Eco Panel Consortium, ensuring that semi-finished products are produced through the reuse of wood in the manufacturing process, which does not involve tree felling.

Obtaining the ISO 14001: 2004 certification in 2012 confirms Prof’s specific commitment to establishing its own environmental management system, regulating the impact of production activities on the environment, with ongoing improvement efforts. In 2015, during the same period as the company's twenty-year anniversary, Prof introduced a new green logo to confirm and identify its commitment to sustainable environmental development as an integral part of its operations and growth process. In 2017, the company reaffirmed its “eco-friendly” strategy, emphasizing its values of “sustainability” and “responsibility,” and switched to a new energy provider (Dolomiti Energia) that sources 100% from renewable sources.

ECO-PACKAGING

Prof continues its commitment to a production system capable of minimizing environmental impact. In 2016, Prof invested in a modern packaging machinery park using biodegradable cardboard, enabling personalized training in packaging. Optimization tailored to specific products allows for significant reductions in packaging costs, storage, and consequently waste disposal. To improve waste management, several separate collection points for post-production waste were established. All waste is stored in special containers, which are then recycled.

CERTIFICATIONS

Confirming a commitment to quality, Prof obtained the UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015 certification and adheres to international standards in design, development, production, and customer service.
