Vasa – History:

Vasa is a Swedish galleon whose history is as fascinating as it is tragic. Built in the 17th century at the behest of King Gustavus Adolphus, it was meant to symbolize Sweden’s power. Unfortunately, during its maiden voyage, just minutes after leaving the Stockholm shipyard, Vasa listed and sank.
