We live in times marked by increased consumption. Therefore, the items we use daily have no value to us other than their utility. Over the years, we often do not show the proper sentiment towards them, replacing them with newer models.
Contrary to this trend, the philosophy of Berti Knives is based on producing exceptional knives for various purposes. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, this small manufactory appears to be completely independent of the trends that have dominated the world over the years. Its main guiding principle is a strong attachment to tradition, which is now cultivated by the fourth generation of Italian artisans.
The founders of the brand firmly oppose the idea of mass production by unskilled labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the offered products. For this reason, their company's philosophy emphasizes the importance of skilled personnel. However, this Italian family is not closed to innovations. They are highly desirable, provided they introduce elements consistent with the existing philosophy and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike competitors, the various stages of knife manufacturing are not handled by specialized artisan sections, but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, while handles are made from bison, buffalo, deer horn, or 'bosso' wood.
