This extraordinary artist referenced the style of Lippi, and his works also show influences from Baldovinetti, Verrocchio; throughout his career, he referenced Pollaiolo and Castagno.
This beautiful painting remains shrouded in mystery to this day. Its date of creation is uncertain. There are theories that it was created in the same year as Primavera (1478) or between 1484 and 1486.
