Columbus was the first admiral, viceroy and governor
of the Indies, and he showed the mariners of his day the route to follow to travel to and from the continent that would be called America. In undertaking this endeavour, Christopher Columbus let himself be guided by an incredible seafaring intuition and what he had learnt from different geographical studies, especially those carried out by Marco Polo over a century before.

- The Globe and the 2 round pieces are made using the Damascene technique, on a base of Brass Gold plated. The 4colum is made in brass decorated with 4 damascened plaques, the 4 legs and holder is as well made in brass gold plated. The base is made of walnut with a crackle fire painting finishing.
