Today we would like to present to you a charming pair of antique angels.
Wooden Heads of Angels with Wings, carved from larch wood and lacquered with tempera, dating from the 19th century and in good condition, except for a crack in the lower part of the face of one of the two heads.
These two angel heads with wings are antique wall decorations, carved wooden panels perfect as lintels or antique friezes decorating the space above doors. This pair of antique friezes has minor chips and paint loss, indicating a 19th-century origin.
Considering the circular recess at the back, these winged angel figures probably originally served as bases for an element that was inserted into them. Italian artifacts from the mid-19th century.
