Today we would like to present to you a decoration from the late 19th century.
Silver-plated metal votive face made from stamped sheet metal (brass?), depicting a portrait of a boy with wavy hair, shown half-length, interrupted by a leafy branch. The love knot on the head allows it to be hung on the wall.

Originally, this figurine was an offering made to a saint patron, asking for grace for a diseased organ (in this case, the face), rather than a thanksgiving for healing (the received grace). In excellent condition, of Italian origin from the late 19th century.
Period: 19th century
Height: 17 cm
