Today we would like to present to you four original picture frames from the mid-19th century.

Oval-shaped frames with wild feet and a shell-shaped top, featuring two central decorations consisting of an interwoven outline of the outer frame, creating an original geometric pattern. Beautiful gilding with pure gold leaf, allowing the preparation to be seen in several parts in Armenian red trunk, giving the frames a warm effect.

In good condition, apart from a noticeable glueing of the wild foot on one of them. Inside, protected by glass, are post-mortem casts. Due to their typology, the four frames can be used as table portrait stands with slight modification. They originate from the first half of the 19th century and come from northern Italy.
